Bay of Plenty Times Community Action Day -13 December 2008On Friday, 13 December, lawyers and support staff were amongst those sanding down the Merivale Community Centre ready for the following day’s paint job. The Western Bay community supported the project, with Dulux donating the paint, and police community constables and Greerton Lion Club members helping out on the Saturday. Opened by local residents in 1992, the Merivale Community Centre provides health, education and social and recreational services to about 200 residents a week. |
