Mackenzie Elvin

I have been working at Mackenzie Elvin in a part-time capacity for ten years and find that I am able to balance work with a busy family life. My two children are involved in numerous sporting and schooling activities.

My partner and I have just bought a new business in Mount Manganui, so any spare time we may have spent hanging out at the beach or reading a good book will certainly be taken up now!

I am originally from Queenstown where I worked for a law firm from 1997 until I went on my OE in 2000, during which I worked in various law firms in London. Upon my return in 2004, I recommenced work with Macalister Todd Phillips until April 2007 when I began working at Mackenzie Elvin as personal assistant to Graeme Elvin. I completed my Legal Executive Studies course in 2007 and now also undertake legal executive work in relation to conveyancing and company matters for clients.

My family is based in Queenstown where I enjoy returning for holidays. I enjoy boating, fishing, reading, watching rugby and taking time out down at the beach with friends.

I was born and educated in South Taranaki and come from a farming family. I moved to the sunny Bay of Plenty 11 years ago. I had over 20 years of Solicitors Trust Accounting experience in five different firms, most recently Sharp Tudhope, before joining Mackenzie Elvin three years ago.

I am married and have grown up children who have now produced grandchildren! I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, gardening, scrapbooking, and travel.

I assist in the practice management at Mackenzie Elvin, mainly in the areas of improving systems for better client service, and managing personnel matters. I have had 15 years experience in legal firms, starting out as a legal executive in Hamilton and then moving into the area of litigation management for a large firm in Wellington. Taking time out to raise children provided an opportunity to undertake extramural study and an interest in mediation led to my attaining a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Dispute Resolution). I have been working for Mackenzie Elvin since October 2002.

Family life takes up most of my leisure time. As a family we are keen on outdoor activities, including skiing and mountain biking. I also love spending time in our garden.
